It’s definitely starting to feel more like summer camp around Aldersgate. The weather is warming up, the grass is getting greener, the number of campers registered is growing, potential staff are being interviewed and hired, and Rick is unloading boats.
That’s right. We are overhauling the waterfront a bit for summer 2013. We are adding a new rope swing to replace the Blob, getting a new trampoline, adding a brand new activity of paddle boards, getting remote control boats for racing and fun, and replacing our worn out peddle boats. You can see in these pictures our maintenance guy, Rick, using our new skid loader to unload the newly delivered boats. Then, back in his shop you can see Rick carefully studying the directions to assemble the boats and finally getting them on the trailer to put down at the lake.
A big thanks to our online donors for helping us purchase these two new boats.
We can’t wait to see campers, guest groups and alumni enjoying these new boats and all the other great program activities during summer 2013.
