Our 2nd Annual Get Grubby Spring Clean-up Day will be May 11th 2013 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
A great opportunity for:
- Friends and Alumni,
- Sunday School classes,
- An entire church,
- Families,
- Individuals or Couples
to do some local volunteer mission work at Camp Aldersgate
We have several projects lined up for the day:
- Painting the boat house,
- Finishing the deck on the Worship Hut (aka Indoor Chapel).
- Sealing the new benches and alter at the Outdoor Chapel,
- An overall of the Prayer Labyrinth,
- Rock collection and placement under the new steps going to the ball field,
- Tree trimming and firewood cutting,
- Setting up the remodeled arts and crafts area inside the Worship Hut,
- Setting up the new audio/video equipment inside the Worship Hut, (are you noticing a pattern with the Worship Hut?),
- Planting flowerbeds and other landscaping,
- Servicing the camp vehicles,
- A complete overhaul of each of our pontoon boats,
- Cleaning up cabins and trails to get them ready for summer camp, and
- Much much more.
Please do let us know you are planning to attend. You can click here to email us. INCLUDE THE T–SHIRT SIZE OF EVERYONE COMING!!!!
We need to know how many people we need to provide FREE lunch and a T-shirt for.
If you are willing to lead a volunteer team on a larger project or have special trade skills, please indicate that in your email or give Eric a call at 866-627-4369.
In 2012 we had nearly 400 volunteer hours donated on Get Grubby. Considering the camp’s sole maintenance guy works 20 hour per week…that’s 20 weeks worth of facility work.
As a staff…we seriously love Gettin’ Grubby with all the volunteers. (Click Here To Tweet That)
Will we see you on May 11th?
